Xiaomi's much awaited fourth generation Redmi Note phone will finally see the light of the day later this month.
Xiaomi is hosting a launch event to unveil the new Redmi series phone at Beijing National Convention center on July 27, Android Headlines reported, citing Xiaomi's newly appointed Chinese celebrity brand ambassador and spokesperson Liu Hao Ran.
Hao Ran refrained from revealing the moniker of the device, but it is widely believed that the upcoming launch event will witness the unveiling of the Redmi Note 4 aka Redmi Pro.
The announcement comes just days after Redmi Pro appeared on the Geekbench, revealing key features of the device.
As per the listing, the Redmi Note 3 successor scores an impressive 1.847 and 4,761 points on single-core and multi-core tests, respectively.
In the system description, it shows Redmi Pro will come with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS, MediaTek (MT6797T) Helio X25 deca-core processor and 4GB RAM.
Once released, Redmi Pro is certain to stir up another storm like Redmi Note 3 in China and India provided the company keeps the price moderate like those of previous Redmi series phones.
In a related development, Xiaomi is slated to host another event in August to unveil top-end Mi Note 2 series.
It is expected to feature 5.5-inch full HD display, Snapdragon 820, 4GB RAM, 64GB inbuilt.
