Earlier in the week, Xiaomi officially announced the Redmi Note 3's India release and price details.
Going by the features and price, the Redmi Note 3 is being touted as the best budget smartphone in the market. The phone has received an overwhelming response from the public.
Xiaomi India head Manu Kumar Jain revealed on Twitter the company had received more than 350,000 registrations for the Redmi Note 3 flash sale scheduled for March 9 on Mi.com and Amazon India.
"#MiFans - we have received 350K+ registrations for #RedmiNote3 within 1st 24 hours, across http://Mi.com n @amazonIN. #excited, (sic)" Jain tweeted.
The new Redmi Note 3 is the third Made-in-India product from Xiaomi. It sports a metal-clad body with a fingerprint sensor below the camera module on the rear. On the front, it sports a 5.5-inch full-HD display with pixel density of 401 ppi (pixels per inch).
Key aspects of the Redmi Note 3 is it claims it has a fingerprint sensor with a record 0.3-second response time. It is the company's first smartphone to ship with biometric technology in India.
It also boasts a 16MP camera with PDAF (Phase Detection Autofocus) function, dual-tone LED flash, HDR, face/smile detection on the back and a 5MP snapper on the front.
Under the hood, it houses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 CPU, 3GB RAM, 32GB inbuilt storage and a 4,000mAh battery.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 is poised to give stiff competition to the popular Lenovo K4 Note, LeEco Le 1s, Motorola Moto G (3rd Gen) Turbo, and the soon-to-be-launched Lenovo K5 Note Plus, among others.
