The Redmi Note 3 flash sale 7 is scheduled to start at 2 p.m. April 20 on Amazon India and Xiaomi official website. The websites have started taking registration for the next week's sale. It may be noted that only those registered (those who failed to buy the device earlier have to register again) can buy the device when the sales windows open.
The device has been made available in India since March 9, but only through flash sales. So far, six flash sales have been conducted on Amazon India and seven times on Xiaomi website (including three flash sales at Mi Fan Festival). The fact that the handset was found available on these websites well over 10 minutes during flash sales can be taken as a hint that demand for it has dropped over the weeks.
However, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer still seems to be not interested in selling the device via an open sale.
The Redmi Note 3 is a feature-rich budget smartphone with a metal uni-body, available in three colours -- gold, silver and dark grey -- and comes in two variants. The 16GB internal storage and 2GB RAM model is priced at Rs. 9,999 (around $137), while the 32GB internal storage and 3GB RAM variant comes with a price tag of Rs. 11,999 (around $168).
The device sports a 5.5-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with 1,080x1,920 pixels (403 ppi pixel density), powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 processor, and run MIUI 7.0 based Android 5.0.2 Lollipop. It also has a 16MP main camera with f/2.0 aperture, a 5MP secondary camera with f/2.0, and a non-removable Li-Po 4,000mAh battery.
