Samsung Galaxy S7 and LG G5 may have hogged the limelight until its unveiling event at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, but Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 managed to turn heads when it was launched in India earlier this month. The first two flash sales of the device is said to have been successful, while the third one will be up next week.
Some have termed the flash sale method as a marketing gimmick, claiming that mobile phone manufacturers create artificial scarcity to increase the hype around their devices. But what needs to be noted is that buying handsets via flash sale can be frustrating as "Sold Out" notice pops up just a few seconds into the sale.
Xiaomi India has claimed that the Redmi Note 3 received 8.5 lakh registrations for the first flash sale that took place March 9. Then, Xiaomi India head Manu Kumar Jain tweeted that the second flash sale March 16 was also over in a jiffy, but the company is yet to reveal the sales figure.
As the name itself suggests, flash sale can get over in a few seconds, which means prospective buyers have to be on time and with good internet connection. So, here we give you details of Xiaomi Redmi Note 3's flash sale 3, including date and time.
Xiaomi will put the Redmi Note 3 up on flash sale again at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 23. Registrations for the event has begun at Amazon India and Xiaomi official website. It may be noted that those, who couldn't buy the device in the previous sale and still wish to buy it, have to make a fresh registration before the event begins.
Available in gold, silver and dark grey colours, Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 is priced at Rs. 9,999 (around $137) for the 16GB variant and Rs 11,999 (around $168) for the 32GB model. The device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 processor, run MIUI 7.0 based Android 5.0.2 Lollipop, house a 16MP main camera with f/2.0 aperture and a 5MP secondary camera with f/2.0, and come packed with a non-removable Li-Po 4,000mAh battery.
