It looks like Xiaomi is releasing its much-awaited Redmi Note 2 this month if reports are anything to go by. The Chinese mobile phone makers have scheduled two events for April and it is reportedly unveiling the Xiaomi H3Y which is believed to the successor of Redmi Note.
Xiaomi is coming up with a new Redmi phone codename Xiaomi H3Y with FHD Display, MediaTek MT6795 processor, 13MP main camera (Samsung S5K3M2) and 5MP front snapper (OmniVision OV5670) and MIUI 6 based on Android 5.0, according to @upleaks (via GSM Arena).

Interestingly, GSM Arena reported that the Xiaomi H3Y, which @upleaks said is the codename of new Redmi phone, could be the rumored Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 as most of the leaked specifications are same except for upgraded screen and processor. It went on to say that the Xiaomi H3Y could be unveiled on Wednesday, 15 April, while the Xiaomi Mi 4i (aka Ferrari) might arrive on 23 April. It also reported that the new Note device might come with a price tag of CNY 1,500 (approximately ₹15261 / $245 / €194).
It may be mentioned that the Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 has been in news since the beginning of the year with rumors doing the rounds that it would be released on 15 January but it didn't happen.
It is still not confirmed whether the Xiaomi H3Y is the codename of the purported Redmi Note 2 and if it will be announced at the events scheduled by Xiaomi this month.
