In the past couple of weeks, we witnessed numerous Redmi 4 series images and features being leaked on the internet, due to which not much is left to wonder about.
Having said that, everything that gets posted on the internet cannot be taken as genuine, so to provide better perspective, we leafed through some reliable reports and have come up with a price and release details of the device and also a list of key specifications, which are more likely to feature in the Redmi 4 series.
Design and Display:
As per the recently released Xiaomi teaser, the Redmi 4 will have a smooth metal cover on the back with curved corners and 2.5D glass shield on the screen's edge, which is a huge improvement over the predecessor Redmi 3 series.
It is expected to measure 141.3 x 69.6 x 8.9mm in dimensions and weigh 153g.
On the other hand, the Redmi 4A is expected to come with lighter body weighing 140 g and measure 139.9 x 70.4 x 8.5mm in size.
The other key difference between the two is that the original Redmi 4 model will boast 5.0-inch full HD (1920x1080p) screen, whereas the 4A series will have 5.0-inch HD (1280x720p) display.
Processor, RAM and storage:
The top-end Redmi 4 is said to house Qualcomm Snapdragon 625/MediaTek Helio P10 octa-core (depending on the region of sale) chipset backed by 3GB RAM and 32GB inbuilt storage.
Whereas, the Redmi 4A is likely feature low-powered Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 quad-core CPU with 2GB RAM and 16GB.
Both the models will have microSD card slot for memory expansion.
