Xiaomi had launched two budget smartphones in India in August. Despite the inconsistency in the availability of Redmi 3S and Redmi 3S Prime, the handsets have done exceptionally well in terms of sales. Both the smartphones are not available as of now, but they will be as a part of Flipkart's upcoming "Big Diwali Sale".
Xiaomi Redmi 3S and Redmi 3S Prime will be available in limited quantities on Flipkart, during its three-day festive sale from October 25 to October 28. Prospect buyers must login to Flipkart before noon as both the smartphones will be available starting 12 pm IST on all three days of the sale.
To sweeten the deal on this festive occasion, Flipkart is giving exchange offers of up to Rs 5,000 on Redmi 3S and up to Rs 7,000 on Redmi 3S Prime purchases. The pricing of the handsets remain the same. Redmi 3S costs Rs 6,999, while the premium Redmi 3S Prime will be available for Rs 8,999.
Even in the current market conditions, Redmi 3S and Redmi 3S Prime are one of the best budget smartphones one can buy under Rs 10,000. The respective pricing of both the handsets truly justify what they offer in return.

There isn't much difference between Redmi 3S and Redmi 3S Prime, but it is still significant. Redmi 3S Prime comes with 32GB storage, 3GB RAM and a fingerprint scanner, while Redmi 3S lacks the biometric sensor and offers 16GB+2GB configuration.
Both the phones have the same metallic design, a 5-inch HD IPS display, a 13MP primary camera and a 5MP front snapper for selfies. Both handsets are also powered by the same processor, which is an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 CPU with Adreno 505 GPU.
Redmi 3S and Redmi 3S Prime support dual SIM cards, but one of them is a hybrid, which doubles as a microSD card slot. There is a 4,100mAh battery under the hood to keep the phones' powered up for long hours.
There are two three colour options in both Redmi 3S and Redmi 3S Prime – gold, silver and grey. In case you are wondering, these smartphones are compatible with Reliance Jio SIM cards for high-speed 4G browsing.
Xiaomi Redmi 3S and Redmi 3S Prime go head-to-head with handsets like Moto E3 Power, Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus and Vibe K5. But their initial sales have been a sign of good response from the buyers across India.
