In what could further consolidate its position in the Indian smartphone market, Xiaomi has released yet another budget smartphone – the Redmi 3S Prime – in the country. The feature-rich device will be available Tuesday onwards.
The Chinese technology giant announced the Redmi 3S and Redmi 3S Prime earlier this month. The former is priced at Rs. 6,999 and the latter at Rs. 8,999.
The Redmi 3S Prime will be exclusively available on Flipkart and Mi.com starting 12 p.m. IST on Tuesday. It has a metal body and fingerprint sensor besides impressive specifications.
The Xiaomi Redmi 3S Prime sports a 5-inch HD display with 1,280x720 pixels (294 ppi pixel density), measures 139.3x69.6x8.5 mm in dimension and weighs 144g. Under the hood, it has a 64-bit class Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor clocking at 1.4GHz, an Android Marshmallow based MIUI v7.0 operating system, a 32GB internal memory (expandable up to 128GB), and a 3GB RAM.
The handset also features a 13MP main camera with 5-physical lens, f/2.0 aperture, PDAF (Phase Detection Auto Focus), HDR, 0.1 second phase focusing speed, and 5MP front-snapper with f/2.2 aperture, full HD video recording ability, face-recognition feature, 36-intelligent self-portrait selfie styles, and a 4,100mAh battery.
In terms of connectivity, the device supports 4G-LTE, Dual-SIM (micro+ nano/microSD card), Bluetooth v4.1, GPS/GLONASS, A-GPS, and micro-USB 2.0.
