As promised, Xiaomi has launched the new Redmi 3S series budget smartphones in India.
The new Xiaomi phones come in two variants -- a generic Redmi 3S and another top-end model which is the Redmi 3S Prime. The key difference between the two is that while the latter boasts fingerprint sensor, 3GB RAM and 32GB inbuilt storage, the former variant features a 2GB RAM, 16GB storage and lacks the biometric security feature.
The rest of the key specifications such as screen size, battery and processor are same in both the devices.
They come with 5.0-inch HD screen, Android Marshmallow-based MIUI 7.5, Qualcomm Snapdragon 430, Adreno 505 graphics engine and 4,100mAh cell, which can keep the phone running for two days under mixed usage, the company claims.
