Xiaomi Redmi 3S to be released in India this week, hints teaser

After days of speculations, Xiaomi has released a teaser almost confirming the launch of the Redmi 3S in India later this week.

"Hello Mi Fans!!! It's an exciting week for us because we're launching another Mi Product in India! Can you guess what it is? Look out for th3 clueS in this full guide!," reads the Xiaomi India's promotional page.

Though the company has not mentioned the device's name, but it has intentionally coloured the numerical "3" and "S", subtly indicating that the mystery phone is the Redmi 3S. 

Besides posting the teaser, the company kicked off the three- day promotional campaign ahead of the device launch.

On the first day (Aug. 1), Xiaomi fans will be asked to design an ideal phone on mi.com, where in few select lucky contestants stand a chance to win the mystery product (Redmi 3S) on Wednesday.

On Aug. 2, fans have to take part in the discussion on Mi.com and highlight three key aspects about their first-ever Xiaomi device. Five people with the best answers will get the new device.

On the final day (Aug. 3), Xiaomi's vice-president (global) Hugo Barra will webcast the new product launch event live online at 12:00 p.m. IST and will also be interacting with the audience. For the uninitiated, the Redmi 3S boasts Qualcomm's new 64-bit class Snapdragon 430 octa-core SoC (System-on-Chip) and Adreno 505 graphics engine.

Other stipulated features include full metal body, 5.0-inch HD screen, features 2GB/3GB RAM, 16GB/32GB inbuilt memory, a 13MP primary camera, 5MP snapper on the front and a 4100mAh battery.
