Xiaomi's feature rich budget smartphone Redmi 2 is set to get much cheaper in India on Tuesday.
The company (via Facebook) has teased a crimson-hued half-made graphic poster suggesting fans to 'paint the town red' on 7 July. In the image, we also see partially printed price of ₹5,999, almost giving away the hint that the Redmi 2 which costs ₹6,999 will get a ₹1,000 discount tomorrow at 10:00 am.

But, it is yet to be ascertained whether this discount offer will be valid only on the official Xiaomi e-Store or other affiliated e-commerce sites like Flipkart, Amazon India and Snapdeal as well. We will surely know what Xiaomi has in store for the loyal fans on Tuesday morning.
For the uninitiated, Redmi 2 sports 4.7-inch HD IPS screen and runs on the Android 4.4.4 KitKat (with MIUI v6.0) powered by the 64-bit class 1.2GHz snapdragon 410 SoC (System on Chip) with 1GB RAM, 8GB inbuilt memory and a 2200 mAh battery.
