Soon after receiving a partial reprieve from the Delhi High Court on 16 December, Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi has confirmed that it would begin Redmi 1S sale in India on Flipkart next week.
Company head (global operation) Hugo Barra (via Facebook) has officially announced that Xiaomi Redmi 1S will be made available at Flipkart on 23 December.
He added that the Redmi Note 4G model will also be released on a later date this month.
Last week, the Delhi High Court had passed an interim order to suspend sale of all Xiaomi phone models in India for violating Ericsson (Telefonaktiebolaget L. M.) patents.
Later on 16 December, after hearing Xiaomi's reply, the judicial body partially lifted the ban till 8 January 2015 on select Xiaomi models featuring Qualcomm Snapdragon devices, provided the Chinese company deposited ₹100 for every device sold, an Ericsson representative explained to Reuters.

Last week, we were forced to suspend sales in India due to an order passed by the Delhi High Court. Thanks for the overwhelming support so many of you have shown to Mi India in response to that!
We are happy to announce that the Delhi High Court today issued a ruling in our favor, allowing us to resume sales in India subject to certain terms.
The good news is that Redmi 1S is coming back next week and we'll be having our next sale on Tuesday, December 23. Registration will start shortly — keep an eye on the Mi India page for details!
We will also be resuming sales of Redmi Note shortly, with the 4G model this time. More details on that very soon, stay tuned!
