The Chinese smartphone major, Xiaomi, is all geared up to kick off the seventh Redmi 1S flash sale in India.
The company (via official Facebook page) has confirmed that there will be up to 1,00,000 units for sale this Tuesday, 14 October. Users are advised to get registered for 14 October sale. On 6 October flash sale, which was conducted as a part of Big Billion Day sale, Flipkart had let go off the registration process, which was mandatory in the previous flash sales.
It has to be noted that already more than 3,00,000 users have got registered for 14 October flash sale. Prospective consumers have still got chance of getting registered on Flipkart (HERE) till mid-night (23:59pm IST, 13 October). Tuesday's flash sale will kick off at 2pm, IST afternoon.
Xiaomi fans have more chances of getting their hand on the elusive Redmi 1S, as there will 1,00,000 units up for grabs, 40,000 more than the previous flash sale barring the Flipkart's Big Billion Day gala, which had 1,50,000 units on sale.
In related news, Xiaomi global head, Hugo Barra has revealed that company is making arrangements to launch Mi4 and Redmi Note in India in a few months time and also confirmed that Xiaomi Mi3 won't be making a comeback in India.
The company has completely shut down the production of 2013 flagship phone to shift focus on Xiaomi Mi4. Though some stocks (a few thousand units) of Mi3 are still available in the inventory, they have been held back for precautionary replacements for sold devices, which have a few more months of company warranty.
Once it is certain that the devices are no longer needed for replacement purposes, Mi3 might get released in a small flash sale, but won't be making a full-fledged return.
