Xiaomi Redmi 1S Flash Sale 4: Smartphone Units Gone in 5.2 Seconds

Like previous times, the fourth round of Xiaomi Redmi 1S flash sale got over in few seconds.

Xiaomi had stocked 60,000 units, 20,000 more than the previous flash sales at Flipkart and it took just 5.2 seconds to run out of Redmi 1S smartphones, leaving many fans frustrated over not being able to buy the device again.

Despite increasing the inventory capacity, the company hasn't been able to bridge the demand-supply gap.

However, one encouraging sign for Xiaomi is that the popularity of Redmi 1S hasn't faded considering there are many alternatives like Asus Zenfone 4, Motorola Moto E, Android One devices- Micromax Canvas A1, Karbonn Sparkle V and Spice Dream UNO in the Indian market, but the company can't be complacent anymore and push its luck any further as frustrated fans may shun loyalty and stray to other brands sooner or later.

The company in its 19 September Facebook message had acknowledged the Mi3 sales fiasco and had promised to streamline production to match the demand of Redmi 1S.

In that order, Xiaomi had stocked 60,000 units for 23 September flash sale. Many are expecting the company to increase its inventory for 30 September flash sale.

[Note: Registration window for the 30 September flash sale has been opened for the public at 6:00 pm evening on Tuesday at Flipkart. Even those registered users who missed out on buying the Xiaomi phone for 23 September have to re-apply].
