Xiaomi's official e-commerce partner Flipkart will reportedly open a special window for Redmi 1S sale for select patrons of the company on Monday, a day before the official 2 September release date in India.
Flipkart's first service subscribers have been given an early access pass to purchase Xiaomi Redmi 1S at 2:00PM on 1 September. The company is offering only 2,000 units for Early Access pass holders on Monday's sale, while the remaining 38,000 units have been set aside for 2 September's flash sale.
Flipkart will reportedly inform the 2,000 lucky subscribers - through emails - about their eligibility for early access. Once the device is added to the cart, subscribers will have time till 11:59 PM on 3 September, to pay the full amount for the smartphone, reported BGR India.
[Note: Registration for 'Early Access' pass for Flipkart First subscribers closed at 2:00 PM, 30th August. However, other buyers can try their luck in the normal flash sale, which is scheduled to kick-off at 2:00 PM 2 September. Interested people can apply on Flipkart now (click here). This registration window closes at 23:59 PM 1 September.]
As of now, more than 100,000 users have applied for Redmi 1S sale but it has to be noted that getting registered on Flipkart does not guarantee a device.
