The much awaited Xiaomi Mi5 which is speculated to debut next month is said to come in two variants, says a report from China.
A tipster, who goes by the moniker Shenkan Digital on Weibo has claimed that the upcoming Xiaomi Mi5 will come in two models- wherein the base model will cost ¥1999 (around $311/€284/Rs. 20,800) and the top-end variant will set you back by ¥2499 (around $389/€355/Rs.25,992)
The spy also posted a promotional image of the Xiaomi Mi5. It shows the device's front-panel featuring a rectangular shaped physical home button. If the leaked photo is genuine, then Mi5 will be the first Xiaomi device to house the tangible touch based home button. It is believed that the company has incorporated finger-print sensor on it, similar to Apple and Samsung flagship devices.
It is learnt that Xiaomi will the pull the wraps off the Mi5 on 21 January. Soon after the unveiling Xiaomi will open the registration window and release it on 8 February, the first day of the Chinese new year of Monkey. Stay tuned for more updates.
