Before Xiaomi could officially launch the flagship Mi5, an e-commerce site has jumped the gun and listed the device online revealing almost all its features.
Popular Chinese online retailer Gear Best accidentally posted the un-released Xiaomi Mi5 images and its spec-sheet. Once word got out in the media, it was immediately pulled down. But, by then some blogs had taken screen-shots.
As per the listing (courtesy, Android Headlines), Xiaomi Mi5 will come in three colour options of white, gold and black. It will sport a 5.2-inch QHD display (2560x1440p), Snapdragon 820 quad-core SoC (System-on-Chip), 4GB RAM, 16GB inbuilt storage, 16MP primary camera with dual-tone LED flash and a 8MP snapper on the front.
It is also said to run on Android v5.1 Lollipop OS based MIUI v7.0 OS backed by 3600 mAh battery and boast 4G-LTE network support and LED light notification feature.
The Xiaomi Mi5 specifications and images posted on the e-retail site are in line with the previous reports.
In related development, a report has surfaced online that Xiaomi Mi5 will be unveiled in the third week of February and not this month.
Previous reports had indicated Xiaomi would host an unveiling event on 21 January and release it on 8 February, on the Chinese New Year of Monkey.
Now, Gadgetz Arena citing a Weibo tipster in China has revealed that Xiaomi will pull the wraps off the Mi5 on 20 February. It is said to hit stores either on the launch day or the next day (21 February).
