In about a few hours, Chinese major Xiaomi will pull the wraps off the eagerly awaited Mi 4i phone code-named Ferrari in New Delhi.
The company is hosting private launch event at Siri Fort Auditorium in New Delhi at 2:30 pm (IST). This is first time in the company's history that Xiaomi is unveiling a new smartphone outside China.
Even the company CEO (& founder) Lei Jun and co-founder Bin Lin have arrived in New Delhi and Hugo Barra, Xiaomi (global) operation chief, will launch the device.
The company in its bid to cheer global fans has made arrangement to live stream the event online so that people can watch the unveiling of rumoured Mi 4i on their smart devices. [Scroll down for more information on live streaming link]
Highlight of Xiaomi Mi Phone Event:
Going by the numerous speculations reported in the media over the past few weeks, the Chinese company is most likely to unveil the cheaper variant of the original marquee device, Mi4.
It is expected to come with the moniker, Mi 4i, and is said to sport a 4.9-inch full HD display and is expected to ship with 64-bit class Snapdragon 615 series Octa-core SoC (System on Chip), Adreno 405 graphics engine, 2GB RAM and 16GB inbuilt storage.
On the photography front, it houses 12mp camera with LED flash, auto-focus, HDR, touch-focus full HD video-recording ability and a 5mp snapper on the front with full video-recording ability.

Word on the street is Xiaomi is planning to introduce this new mid-range phone Mi4i between budget models (Redmi 2 and Redmi Note 4G) and on the top-end category (Mi4 and Mi Note series).
