Chinese consumer electronics major Xiaomi has launched the Windows-powered Mi Pad 2 tablet in China.
The company had unveiled Mi Pad 2 in November with Android OS and had claimed to release the device Windows OS little later. Now, the former model has finally been introduced to the market.
Both the devices feature the same design language and houses the same hardware, but only differ in operating system.
Mi Pad 2 sports a 7.9-inch IPS LCD screen and comes packed with 2.4GHz Intel Atom X5-Z8500 quad-core, Intel HD graphics, 2GB RAM, 16GB/ 64GB inbuilt memory and 6190 mAh battery.
The device also comes with 8MP camera on the rear and a 5MP snapper on the front.

The company has confirmed that the new Windows 10 powered Mi Pad 2 -- 16GB and 64GB -- variants will go on sale in China on 26 January for ¥999(around $152/€140/Rs. 10,282) and ¥1299 (around $198/€183/Rs.13,380), reported GizChina.
They will be available in Space Silver and Champagne Gold-coloured models.
As of now, there is no word on when Mi Pad 2 will be made available in India and other global regions. Stay tuned for more updates.
