After releasing its flagship device, the Mi 5, and a few other handsets, including the Redmi Note 3 and the Mi Max, Xiaomi is reportedly planning to launch the Mi Note 2, successor of the Mi Note that hit the stores early last year.

The Xiaomi Mi Note 2 is expected to be released in the third quarter or by the end of the year. The Chinese technology giant released the Mi Note in January 2015.

Now, new information on the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 has been leaked. Feng Weiwen, the editor of Shenzhen Digital Technology, has claimed that Xiaomi will release three variants of the upcoming Mi Note 2, including one with a curved screen, according to MobiPicker (via PhoneArena).

The report said that the Mi Note 2 base model will come with features like a single camera on the back, Hi-Fi audio, and a battery with quick charge technology, while the second variant will have Hi-Fi audio, a dual camera, and a quick battery charge feature. The third model is expected to have a curved screen besides dual cameras, Hi-Fi Lite, and fast charging technology.

It may be noted that the Xiaomi Mi Note sports a 5.7-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with 1,080x1,920 pixels (386 ppi pixel density), powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor, and runs Android 4.4.4 KitKat operating system.

It also comes packed with a 16/64GB internal memory, a 3GB RAM, a 13MP main camera with f/2.0 aperture, OIS, autofocus and dual-LED (dual tone) flash, a 4MP front-snapper with f/2.0 aperture, and a 3,000mAh battery.
