Xiaomi is keeping itself busy with new product launches, putting it under the spotlight. While recent Xiaomi events witnessed some important announcements such as Mi Max, MIUI 8 and more, there seems to be a lot going behind the curtains. There have been rumours about a new device in the company Mi series, which will be tagged as a premium one.
According to a new leak, Xiaomi Mi Note-successor Mi Note 2 is already in the works and will come with top-of-the-line features and specifications. While the word is already out that the Mi Note 2 will come in three variants, the new report offers a closer look at the features of the specific models. GizChina is reporting that the high-end version of the Mi Note 2 will feature a curved 2K display with Quad HD resolution and a Full HD 1080p screen will embrace the low-end model. All models will feature a 5.7-inch display.
The leak also points towards other specifications of the handset such as a 12-megapixel dual camera setup for the higher-end models, a large 4,000mAh battery with fast charging feature, a fingerprint scanner and Force Touch technology. The handset is said to be powered by either a Snapdragon 820 SoC or Snapdragon 823 CPU.
The report also suggests that the Mi Note 2 will come in 4GB/32GB, 6GB/64GB, and 6GB/128GB options. As for the pricing, the base variant of the Mi Note 2 will cost RMB 2,499 ($375), while the 6GB + 64GB model will be priced at RMB 2,999 ($450) and the 128GB variant will cost RMB 3,499 ($525), Techno Buffalo reported.
As per an earlier report, the Mi Note 2 is said to come with Hi-Fi audio, NFC and infrared. As compared to the original Mi Note, which was launched last year, the Mi Note 2 will come with significant upgrades and challenge several premium devices in the market. Xiaomi hasn't confirmed the launch of the Mi Note 2 yet, but we'll know for sure if these rumoured specs are true when the product is officially launched.
