Xiaomi is reportedly working on a flagship premium smartphone with a big display under its Mi portfolio. Purported to be named as Xiaomi Mi Note 2, the device has been spotted on Chinese social media platform Weibo.
According to the leaked image, the upcoming Mi Note 2 will measure super thin for its lean bezels and will also come up with 2 camera sensors and 2 LED flash for snapping better selfie images even in the dark.
The Mi Note 2 is also rumoured to feature a fingerprint sensor on the home button for offering enhanced security.
If earlier rumours are to be believed, Xiaomi Mi Note 2 might come with a 5.7-inch display with 1440x2560 pixels display overlaid with Corning Gorilla glass for added protection.
Under the hood, Mi Note 2 will come powered by a Snapdragon 820 chipset along with 4GB RAM. There are no updates available regarding the storage space of the device, but according to Xiaomi VP Hugo Barra's earlier statement on inbuilt memory, Mi Note 2 is likely to skip the micro SD card slot and might come with two storage variants including a 64GB model.
Mi Note 2 is likely to run on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop operating system and will pack a 3,500 mAh battery.
On the camera side, Mi Note 2 will pack a 23MP rear camera sensor with autofocus and dual LED flash and a whopping 12MP snapper for clicking selfies and making video calls.
Chinese smartphone brand Xiaomi makes its premium and mid-budget devices under Mi portfolio and budget devices as Redmi. The Mi series of devices come with premium finish and latest hardware, while the Redmi devices focus on the price conscious consumers with a razor sharp price tag.
