It has now surfaced that the USP of Xiaomi's newest Mi Mix smartphone, apart from its bezel-less display, is Microsoft's personal digital assistant, Cortana. This comes across as a surprise considering the fact that Xiaomi loyalists only expected select Microsoft apps such as the Office app suite. Now, it seems that the June 2016 deal between Xiaomi and Microsoft is also involving the latter's PDA.
However, activation of Cortana within Xiaomi Mi Mix reportedly involves manual interference. Tweaking of default region/languages should do the trick here.
At this juncture, it is worth noting that the bezel-less Xiaomi Mi Mix was recently subjected to multiple durability tests by reliable technology analyst JerryRig and the smartphone threw up a surprise. Full results of this analysis can be viewed, here.
Along with the above durability tests, JerryRig also subjected Xiaomi's Mi Mix to drop test analysis. The real resistive nature of the phone came to the fore in these examinations. Click here to know how Xiaomi Mi Mix performed in JerryRig's drop tests.
