Ahead of the official release of the Mi Max smartphone in India on June 30, Xiaomi is making all the preparations for a successful launch. After the success of Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 and Mi 5 smartphones, Xiaomi is going to bring a new budget premium device to the competitive Indian market. The Chinese smartphone giant is engaging its fans through its newly-launched Mi Community for India and taking registrations for the upcoming launch event.
Xiaomi has been testing its Mi Community India with 500 users since June 14 and has finally gone live. The site serves as a go-to place for its fans and users to interact with other users, participate in contests, share feedback about Mi devices, software and more. The Mi India Community, just like the Chinese version, offers various tips and tricks on Mi devices and MIUI software, flash guides and a section for users to share photos taken using Xiaomi smartphones.
The purpose of opening registrations for the Mi Max launch event in the country is to invite select fans to event, which is to be held in Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium at 11:30 am on June 30. Registrations for the event will close on June 23 at 8pm IST.
Fans that have been selected will be notified via an SMS, but there is also a chance to win a Royal Package to the event, where Xiaomi will bear the costs involving air fare, hotel fares and a VIP seat at the launch. Users stand a chance to win the Royal Package by sharing the event registrations link on Facebook. Attendees will receive a Xiaomi goody bag with surprise gifts in it.

Xiaomi Mi Max was originally launched in China in May and offers interesting features and specifications. The price of the handset in India is a mystery, but we already know all that it offers. It features a massive 6.44-inch Full HD display, a 16MP primary camera with dual LED flash, PDAF and a 5MP front snapper.
Xiaomi Mi Max is powered by a Snapdragon 650 chipset with 3GB/4GB RAM and 32GB/64GB/128GB storage options. It is unclear which model will be launched in India. The handset features a 4,850mAh battery, metal uni body, dual SIM, 4G LTE with VoLTE support.
