Another Xiaomi device called the Mi Max will be launched in India soon. The Chinese technology giant has confirmed that it will host an event in New Delhi on June 30 to announce several details of the device, including its price and availability.
Xiaomi Mi Max was released in China last month. It comes in three variants -- one with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 650, 32GB internal storage and 3GB RAM priced at 1499 Yuan (around $230/Rs. 15,300); second model with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 652, 64GB internal memory and 3GB RAM with a price tag of 1699 Yuan (around $260/Rs. 17,400); and the third variant with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 652, 128GB inbuilt memory and 4GB RAM priced at 1999 Yuan (around $308/Rs. 20,400).
The company is yet to reveal the price of the device, but it is very likely to be priced between Rs. 15,000 and Rs. 20,000. If it comes with a price tag in this bracket, it will have to take on devices like the Samsung Galaxy J5 (2016), Galaxy J7 (2016), OnePlus 2, and OnePlus X in the Indian market.

Xiaomi Mi Max
The device sports a 6.44-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with 1,080x1,920 pixels (342 ppi pixel density), runs MIUI 8 based Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system, comes with expandable memory option up to 200GB via microSD card, and houses a 4,850mAh battery. It mounts a 16MP main camera with f/2.0 aperture, phase detection autofocus and dual-LED (dual tone) flash, and a 5MP front-snapper with f/2.0 aperture.
Samsung Galaxy J5 (2016)
The device is priced at Rs. 13,999 and sports a 5.2-inch HD Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with 720x1,280 pixels (282 ppi pixel density). Under the hood, it has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor, an Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, a 16GB internal storage, 2GB RAM, memory expandable up to 128GB via microSD card, and a 3,100mAh battery. In terms of camera, it mounts a 13MP main camera with features like f/1.9 aperture, 28mm, autofocus and LED flash, and 5MP front-snapper with f/1.9 aperture and LED flash.
OnePlus 2
The 16GB variant of OnePlus 2 is priced at Rs. 20,999 and the 32GB version comes with a price tag of Rs. 22,999. It sports a 5.5-inch LTPS IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display with 1,080x1,920 pixels (401 ppi pixel density), powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, houses Adreno 430 GPU, runs Android 5.1 Lollipop, and come packed with a 16/64GB internal memory and 3/4GB RAM. It also features a 13MP main camera with f/2.0 aperture and OIS, a 5MP front-snapper with f/2.4 aperture and a 3,300mAh battery.
Samsung Galaxy J7 (2016)
The device is priced at Rs. 15,990 and sports a 5.5-inch display with 1,080x1,920 pixels (401 ppi pixel density). Under the hood, it has an Exynos 1.6Ghz octa-core processor, an Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, a 16GB internal storage with memory expandable up to 128GB via microSD card, a 3GB RAM, a 13MP main camera with f/1.9 aperture, 28mm, autofocus and LED flash, a 5MP front-snapper with f/1.9 aperture, and a 3,300mAh battery.
OnePlus X
Priced at Rs. 14,999, the OnePlus X sports a 5-inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with 1,080x1920 pixels (441 ppi pixel density), powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor, and run OxygenOS 2.2.0 based Android 5.1.1 Lollipop operating system. It also features a 16GB internal storage (memory expandable up to 128GB via microSD card), a 3GB RAM, a 13MP rear camera with f/2.2 aperture, 1/3" sensor size and 1.14 µm pixel size features, an 8MP front-snapper with f/2.4 aperture, and a 2,525mAh battery.
