After concluding Mi Band special sale for ₹1 in India, Xiaomi revealed that its first wearable will be available for purchase at its regular price of ₹999 next Tuesday, 12 May.
The second flash sale will also be conducted via Xiaomi's official website with 10,000 units up for grabs. Potential buyers need to register themselves to participate in the sale. Registrations will close at 2pm on Monday.
Xiaomi's first flash sale for Mi Band in India lasted for 7 seconds. The Chinese tech giant had stocked only 1,000 units at a special price, which helped attract several buyers in a wink. It remains to be seen whether the fitness tracker will gain similar traction with its regular price tag, which is still competitive compared to the likes of other bands in the market.
In our review, we found Xiaomi Mi Band as a great tracker, especially for its low price. But the limited functions may be a turn-off for consumers who want more than just a pedometer and a sleep tracker. It offers a simplistic design and works with any Android smartphone running version 5.0 and above. It requires Mi Fit app, which pairs to the band via Bluetooth, to display fitness records.
Users can set different goals and work towards achieving them. Three LEDs on the Mi Band will show how close you are to your goal and the LEDs along with vibrator notify users of any incoming call or notification.
