We are just a few hours away from the Xiaomi Mi 5s launch. Recent reports and the company's teasers on the Mi 5s have evoked excitement among fans.
To provide a better perspective on the new smartphone, we have listed all the possible features that are likely to make the cut in Xiaomi's device.
Display and design:
Previous leaks had indicated that the upcoming Mi 5s would have major upgrade only in terms of internal hardware. Now, the company's latest teaser says otherwise.
New Xiaomi Mi 5s promotional image posted on the social media website Weibo shows the presence of dual-camera on the back.
Except the rear-camera, rest of the physical outlook of the device is expected to be same as seen in the original model.
The Mi 5s is expected to come with slim and sleek uni-body design language with a right blend of metal and glass.
On the front, it is said to sports a 5.15-inch full-HD (1920x1080p) screen with curved 3D glass having low reflectivity. It is also expected to feature "Sunlight and "Night Display" technology, which enables the device to automatically adjust the screen's brightness level depending on surrounding light conditions.
Performance:
As per leaked recent benchmark scores, Xiaomi's Mi 5s series is almost certain to house the Qualcomm's new Snapdragon 821 quad-core processor. It can clock a staggering speed of 2.4GHz, 10 percent more efficient than the Snapdragon 820 found in current crop of flagships such as OnePlus 3, Samsung Galaxy Note7 ( & Galaxy S7 series), LG V20 (& G5), HTC 10 and others.
To further enhance the performance, Xiaomi has reportedly incorporated 6GB RAM and 64GB internal storage in Mi 5s.
For the sake of differentiation, Xiaomi has reportedly incorporated bigger 256GB storage insides the Mi 5s Plus.
Camera:
As per numerous reports, Xiaomi's both Mi 5s and Plus variants are expected to feature 16MP primary camera with a secondary camera below to capture depth of field.
With the depth of field capability, Mi 5s users will be able to snap picture with Bokeh effect feature.

The Snapdragon Sense ID platform is said to be integrated with algorithm developed by the Qualcomm Secure MSM foundation, the Qualcomm Biometric Integrated Circuit (QBIC) and custom sensor technology.
