With less than an hour before the official launch of Xiaomi Mi 5, the Chinese company has unveiled a new phone, dubbed the Mi 4S, in Beijing.
It has to be noted that the Mi 4S is not a successor of the Mi 4, but just an upgraded version. The Mi 5 is said to be the true successor of the 2014 flagship smartphone.
As far as specifications are concerned, Xiaomi Mi 4S sports a metal frame with 5.0-inch full HD display, and comes packed with a Snapdragon 808 Hexa-core processor, 3GB RAM, 64GB inbuilt memory, a 13MP primary camera, a 5MP snapper on the front and a 3,260mAh battery.
With the launch of the Mi 4S, Xiaomi now has four Mi 4 series variants in its portfolio. Previously, the company had released Mi 4c and Mi 4i in 2015. [Check out the specification difference all the four devices].
Xiaomi Mi 4s price and release details:
The company has reportedly confirmed that the new Mi 4S will hit the stores first in China for ¥1,699 (around $260/€237/Rs 17,830). It will be made available in black, gold, purple, and white colour options.
As of now, there is no word on when the new Xiaomi Mi 4S will be released in other markets, including India. Stay tuned for more updates.
