The Xiaomi Mi 4i Limited Edition in pink, yellow and blue colours will be available on Tuesday, 1 September at 2pm on the company's official online store. It will be available at the same price as the original Mi 4i, which is available in white and grey hues.
While the 16GB variant will be sold for Rs 12,999, the 32GB variant won't be available on Tuesday.
Xiaomi Mi 4i Limited Edition is identical to the original Mi 4i, except for an upgraded display resolution and new colours. The five-inch Sharp JDI display resolution is upgraded from HD to Full HD screen with 441ppi.
Other specifications include a second-gen 64-bit 1.7GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor, 2GB RAM and Adreno 405 GPU for graphics. The camera gets a 13-megapixel Sony/Samsung sensor with f/2.0 aperture, two-tone LED flash on the rear and a 5MP front shooter.
An impressive 3,120mAh battery with Quick Charge tech runs the smartphone for up to 35 hours on 3G.
The Mi 4i Limited Edition also has dual 4G SIM support and features Bluetooth 4.1 LE for quick file transfers and low power consumption. The handset runs on MIUI 6 based on Android 5.0 Lollipop and will get MIUI 7 when the OS is available. Users can also get the beta version of the MIUI 7 right now to experience the latest OS.
Registration is not required for Tuesday's sale.
Xiaomi had launched Mi 4i Limited Edition alongside MIUI 7 OS earlier this month. The new handset served as a proxy to the anticipated Redmi Note 2, which skipped the Indian release due to legal troubles.
