Xiaomi's upcoming device codenamed Xiaomi Libra is back in news, but this time with a twist. Earlier reports had branded Libra as the successor of Mi 4i but a latest report has claimed that it will be the successor of Mi 4 and will be called Mi 4C.
The Chinese mobile phone maker hasn't revealed the release date of Mi 4C but it may not be far off as the Mi 5 is expected to see the light of the day soon.
There were reports that Xiaomi will be coming up with a Mi 4i successor codenamed Xiaomi Libra. But it turned out to be not true. A new report claimed that the device is called Xiaomi Mi 4c and has been leaked on AnTuTu Benchmark.
According to a report by Techgadgetsz, Xiaomi Libra is "officially confirmed as Xiaomi Mi 4C, a cheap variant of Xiaomi Mi 4". It added that the device has also been spotted on Chinese telecommunications governing body TENAA's website.
Xiaomi Mi 4C is expected to come with a few feature upgrades over the Mi 4 - superior processor and operating system, to be precise.
The Xiaomi Mi 4C will come with a 5.0-inch IPS display with resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, which is the same as the Mi 4, Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor, Adreno 418 GPU, Xiaomi MiUI 7 based on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop operating system, and 13 MP main camera with Dual-Tone LED flash and 5 MP secondary snapper, according to Techgadgetsz.
The report went on to claim that the device will have 4G LTE, 3G, GPRS/ EDGE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac, Micro-USB, and Bluetooth v4.0 with A2DP, Wi-Fi Direct, and GPS with A-GPS in terms of connectivity.
On the other hand, the Xiaomi Mi 4 sports a 5.0-inch full HD touchscreen with 1920 x 1080 pixels (441ppi pixel density), powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor, Android 4.4.3 KitKat, packed with 16/64 GB internal storage and 3 GB RAM and house a 13 MP rear camera and 8 MP front snapper.
