After days of teasing, smartphone leader Xiaomi on Thursday unveiled the two smart Mi LED TV 4 PRO television series along with Mi Soundbar, thus foraying into a new product category in India.
The new Xiaomi Mi LED TV 4X PRO sports a massive 55-inch (138.8cm) 4K UHD display with the panel featuring 10-bit colour depth, and support for HDR10 video format guaranteeing rich viewing experience. Under-the-hood, it houses 64-bit Amlogic quad-core chipset with Mali-450 GPU, 2GB RAM and 8GB storage. It also comes with 20W stereo speakers tuned for louder sound and heavier bass with the outside topped with a beautiful metallic grey finish.
The retail package also comes with Xiaomi's intelligent Bluetooth remote, which features a built-in microphone, which helps consumers control volume, change channels. It also supports Google Voice Search.
On the other hand, the Mi LED TV 4A PRO flaunts 43-inch full HD and comes with same audio and internal hardware as seen in the top-end model, except for RAM capacity. It has 1GB physical memory.
Both Mi LED TV 4X and 4A PRO series runs PatchWall based on Android 8.1 Oreo with Android TV option. Consumers can switch between Xiaomi's interface and Google's UI, which is very rare for smart TVs in the market.
PatchWall features content from 14 different partners with over 700,000+ hours of content with deep integration with online and set-top box content with universal search making it easy to search for any content across sources. Some of the top content partners being Hotstar, Hungama, Sony Liv, Voot, Eros Now, Zee5, Hooq, Epic ON and more.
On the other hand, Android TV with the Play Store offers flexibility while support for Chromecast makes it extremely easy to enjoy any content of your choice.
The new Mi Soundbar boasts two 20mm dome tweeters for the highs, two 2.5-inch woofers for the mids and four passive radiators for the lows and enhanced bass, Mi Soundbar ensures no tune goes unheard, the company claims.
It comes with five connectivity options including Line-In, AUX, Optical, Bluetooth and S/PDIF. This apparently makes Mi Soundbar compatible with almost any TV, from CRT to LED. Since it supports, Bluetooth, consumers can connect their mobiles to Mi Soundbar and play music, as well. Also, the company claims that it can be fully set up in just 30 seconds.
Xiaomi's new Mi LED TV 4X and 4A PRO series will go on sale on 15 January on Flipkart, Mi.com and Mi Home at 12:00 pm for Rs 39,999 and Rs 22,999, respectively. Whereas the new Mi Soundbar will be available on Mi.com and Mi Home for just Rs 4,999 on 16 January.
