Xiaomi has completed five years of its successful Mi brand and is celebrating the occasion by offering great deals on its attractive smartphone range.
For starters, the Chinese tech giant is slashing price of its flagship smartphone and offering free accessories with purchase of every Redmi Note 4G. To make things spicier, Redmi 2 and Mi Pad will hit open sale without registrations. All offers will be entertained only on 8 April, the day Mi turns five as announced by the company's CEO and founder Lei Jun.
The celebrations do not end there. Xiaomi has partnered with two other online retailers to conduct sales of its Mi phones. This ends the exclusivity with Flipkart and Xiaomi products will now be available on Amazon and Snapdeal. The company's aim is make Xiaomi products easily available, without making buyers go through stringent flash sales.
"We are glad to give Mi fans more options to purchase Mi products. We are truly excited to be working with a variety of partners and expect these partnerships to be super successful," said Manu Jain, India Head for Xiaomi Operations.
