Xbox Play Anywhere is the newest feature from Microsoft that was announced during the E3 2016 that took place in June. The company has now announced that it would be dropping this new feature to the consoles on Sept. 13, 2016.

This new feature bridges Xbox One and Windows 10 PC, allowing owners of Xbox Play Digital title to play on both Xbox One and PC. Microsoft had previously noted that there would not be any additional cost on such titles.

It was also revealed that players of such titles would be able to pick up where they left on either of the consoles; it will also let them bring saves, game add-ons and achievements. This means that if a player starts a game on a PC, he/she would be able to complete it on Xbox One.

It was also noted that those on PC "must" have Windows 10 Anniversary Edition update, which is expected to be released on Aug. 2. "ReCore" will be the first game that players would get. It will be launched alongside Play Anywhere feature.
