One of the biggest Microsoft reveals of E3 2015 is that Xbox One will now support backwards compatibility. The company has now revealed FAQs on everything related to the latest backwards compatibility option for the console.

It answers a plethora of questions about the feature, including why the list of 18 titles (see below for full list) that will be compatible with the feature is so short and easily forgotten. The company even explains why Borderlands was part of the announcement but wasn't featured in the list.

In short, for the query on Borderlands, the company did mention that it is currently in talks with its partners to bring the backwards compatibility to more titles in the future.

Another interesting aspect is the fact that players will be able to continue with their Xbox 360 saves from these backwards compatible games on their Xbox One as long as they have saved them on the cloud.

Here's a full list of the 18 games that will be backwards compatible on launch:

  • Banjo Kazooie: N n B
  • Banjo-Kazooie
  • Banjo-Tooie
  • BattleBlock Theater
  • Defense Grid
  • Geometry Wars Evolved
  • Hexic HD
  • Jetpac Refuelled
