The trailer of the upcoming 2016 movie "X Men: Apocalypse" that was released on 11 December shows the rise of ancient mutant Apocalypse, who is the antagonist of the movie.
In the first look trailer, Apocalypse is shown as the oldest mutant alive who says that he has been on earth for centuries. We had earlier reported that he claims himself as various gods through time saying, "I have been called many things over many lifetimes... Ram, Krishna, Yahweh..."
While the dialogue has been garnering immense interest and popularity among Marvel and superhero fans across the globe, BuzzFeed recently mentioned that the excerpt has been condemned by Hindu statesman, Rajan Zed, who denounced the trailer for hurting religious sentiments.
In a Twitter post, he wrote that the trailer is inappropriate and demanded to delete the references of Krishna.
Comparing #Krishna to villain #Apocalypse in #XMenApocalypse trailer was inappropriate. Delete references to Krishna unless scripture based.

He also released a statement claiming that the Ram and Krishna's references have been used for commercial agenda that is not acceptable at all.
