Can the 'Big Dog' Roman Reigns end the calendar year holding two WWE championships? It could very well be possible if he manages to defeat Kevin Owens, one of the top heels of the pro wrestling promotion at the moment, at WWE Roadblock: End of the Line on Sunday.
The Monday Night Raw pay-per-view (PPV) could definitely come out as a blockbuster of sorts as it is the final PPV event of the calendar year. So, expect fireworks from the event in Pennsylvania.
Let's go straight to the list of matches from the event and predict the possible outcomes:
Pre show
Rusev vs Big Cass
A lot has transpired between Rusev and Enzo Amore over who gets to "own" Lana. As expected, the Russian beauty, also the wife of Rusev, has not double crossed the 'Bulgarian brute' and Enzo has been roughed up on multiple occasions, viciously, by Rusev.
This is the time for the seething Big Cass, the tag team partner of Enzo, to inflict damage on Rusev.
Prediction: Rusev wins.
Main show
The New Day (C) vs Cesaro and Sheamus
While one team has been breaking records and creating new ones, the other unlikely tag team has been creating a lot of impressive moments in WWE Raw. Can the New Day (Big E, Xavier Woods, Kofi Kingston) continue as the WWE Raw Tag Team champions going into 2017? That remains to be seen. But don't rule out the unlikely European alliance of Cesaro and Sheamus, who are lately taking a lot of brownie points for their in-ring and outside of the ring antics!
Prediction: The New Day still remain the champions.
Sami Zayn vs Braun Strowman
Sami, one of the breakout stars in the WWE this year, showed real passion and anger against Raw General Manager Mick Foley while asking the legend to allow him a chance to face the massive Strowman. As usual, Sami got what he deserved and he has also been asked strictly by Foley to give his best possible fight on Sunday. Can Sami end his year on a high note?
Prediction: Sami Zayn wins the ten-minute limit fight.
Rich Swann (C) vs. T.J. Perkins vs. The Brian Kendrick
The triple threat match for the cruiserweight title will definitely be one of the most exciting matches of the fight card. Expect a lot of adrenaline rush and bodies flying all around.
Prediction: Brian Kendrick wins.
Sasha Banks (C) vs Charlotte Flair
Two of the most enthralling women wrestlers in the WWE at the moment renew their rivalry for probably, the infinite time, on Sunday. After a historic hell in a cell match, the two super divas face off for the Raw Women's championship in a 30-minute Iron Man match. Who will reign supreme?
Prediction: Charlotte wins (with surprising help from Ric Flair).
Chris Jericho vs Seth Rollins
Ho ho ho! One of the most-awaited matches of the PPV event which can turn out to be an instant classic. No stipulations are in place for the match, but to hell with rules, Jericho and Rollins are expected to take their fight and rivalry to extreme limits.
Prediction: Seth Rollins wins.
Kevin Owens (C) vs Roman Reigns
Remember Conor McGregor of the UFC? Of course, you do! The Irishman held two titles simultaneously this year, making history. Massive chance that Reigns -- who already holds the WWE United States title -- can beat Reigns to win the WWE Universal title. Win or lose, Reigns doesn't lose any of his belts. A defeat for Owens however, is a bad news for him!
Prediction: Kevin Owens just wins this encounter.
