"WWE 2K17," the upcoming professional wrestling simulation video game from 2K Sports, officially announced its initial three wrestlers for the game's roster. However, it had no surprises.
The three names that were revealed include
- John Cena, the marquee superstar with WWE
- The Ultimate Warrior, one of the respected wrestlers in WWE
- "Legit Boss" Sasha Banks, former NXT Women's Champion
The announcement was made via a painting by artist Rob Schamberger.
2K had recently released a trailer that featured WWE superstar Goldberg as the game's cover star, who will also be a part of the pre-order bonus. Those pre-ordering the game will see two versions of him. There could also be the possibility of Goldberg's feud with Brock Lesnar being recreated.
Players will also be getting two WCW arenas along with the pre-order bonus. "WWE 2K17" will be released on October 2016.
Meanwhile, Xbox One Gold members get free "WWE 2K16" on June 19. "WWE 2k16" features the largest roster of WWE characters in a WWE video game. It was released on Oct. 27, 2015.
