The box office collection of Salman Khan-Anushka Sharma starrer "Sultan" witnessed a jump on its second day in India. Due to partial holiday on Thursday (second day), "Sultan" raked in more than Rs. 37.20 crore, which is a 1.8 percent increase compared to its opening day.
The film minted more thanRs. 37.20 crore nett box office collections on its second day from Indian markets. Since there was partial holiday on Wednesday and Thursday, the collection got affected slightly on its opening day, as well as the second day. The two-day box office collection of "Sultan" now stands at Rs. 73.74 crore.

Not only India, "Sultan" had a phenomenal opening at the overseas box office as well. The opening day collection from all the countries was extraordinary, but the UAE-GCC and Pakistan box office overshadowed other countries with the first box office collection of "Sultan." Ali Abbas Zafar's directorial minted $3.04 million (Rs. 20.50 crore) from the overseas box office in just one day.
The first-day overseas box office collection of "Sultan" is the highest of this year. The Salman-starrer shattered the overseas collection records of Shah Rukh Khan's "Fan." "Fan" minted $ 2.7 million (Rs. 17.93 crore) from the two-days run, while "Sultan" minted more than in just one day.

Worldwide box office
"Sultan" has grossed more than Rs. 120 crore at the worldwide box office in just two days. The two-day worldwide total of Salman-Anushka starrer is more than the lifetime worldwide box office collection of several films released this year.
"Sultan" is aiming for a Rs. 200 crore gross worldwide opening weekend total. If the film continues the momentum then it will achieve the mark even before finishing its opening weekend run.
Directed by Ali, "Sultan" was released in 5,450 screens worldwide on July 6, which was a partial holiday. The film, which is made on a budget of Rs. 90 crore, features Salman and Anushka as wrestlers, while Randeep Hooda, Kumud Mishra and Amit Sadh are the supporting actors.
