The Shakun Batra directorial family drama, "Kapoor and Sons," has had a smashing three-week box office run worldwide. The three-week worldwide box office collection of the film climbed to Rs. 150 crore, which is the second highest of this year.
Fawad Khan, Sidharth Malhotra and Alia Bhatt starrer "Kapoor and Sons" earned Rs. 104 crore gross collection from the domestic box office and from the international market, it minted Rs. 46.7 crore gross income. The worldwide box office collection of "Kapoor and Sons" accumulates to Rs. 150.7 crore after three weeks.
"#KapoorAndSons crosses ₹ 150 cr worldwide [gross collections]... India gross ₹ 104 cr. Overseas gross ₹ 46.7 cr. Total: ₹ 150.7 cr gross," trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted.
While "Kapoor and Sons" have crossed Rs. 150 crore gross mark, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Arjun Kapoor starrer "Ki and Ka" is inching towards the Rs. 100 crore mark.
"Ki and Ka," which released in theatres April 1, has grossed Rs. 89.49 crore from just 11-day run at the worldwide box office. The rom-com, directed by R Balki, needs just Rs. 10 crore from the domestic and overseas box offices to enter the century club.
"#KiAndKa [Week 2] Fri 2.23 cr, Sat 2.80 cr, Sun 3.21 cr, Mon 1.01 cr. Total: ₹ 46.82 cr. India biz. GOOD!" trade analyst Adarsh tweeted, adding: "#KiAndKa Overseas total [till Sun, 10 April]: $ 3.4 million [₹ 22.61 cr]. GOOD!"
If "Ki and Ka" manages to add Rs. 10 crore more to its box office collection, then it will become the fourth film of the year to earn Rs. 100 crore. Earlier, Akshay Kumar's "Airlift," Sonam Kapoor's "Neerja" and Fawad's "Kapoor and Sons" earned Rs.100 crore gross income at the worldwide box office.
