World Humanitarian Day will be observed on Wednesday, 19 August.
The theme for this year's World Humanitarian Day is "Inspiring the World's Humanity".
The day was adopted by the UN General Assembly to coincide with the anniversary of the bombing of the UN headquarters in Baghdad, Iraq, in 2003.
