This week has seen a series of new revelations with regard to Wonder Woman. The summer release will hit the screens this week. The team at Warner Bros and DC is dropping some spoilers ahead of the release.
Earlier, Wonder Woman actress Gal Gadot revealed how her character is visibly different from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Wonder Woman and Justice League. Now, director Patty Jenkins is drawing parallels between Superman and Wonder Woman.

As part of the promotions of the DC/WB movie, director Jenkins has been talking to different media houses. This time, she took time out for LA Times to share her thoughts.
"[There's] been a fear that you needed to go harder in some direction to make [Wonder Woman] interesting. And I was always confused by it. You could go out on Halloween, even now, 75 years later, and there's a good chunk of people dressed up as Wonder Woman. She's pretty simple. She is like the parallel of Superman. She's good, she means well, she's kind, she's loving," Jenkins said.
Jenkins has been a great fan of Superman and she doesn't shy away from making her adulation public. Recalling an incident from her days in film school, the director revealed, "'Superman I' had been a favourite movie of mine, even when I was at Cooper Union, which is a very fine-arts school."
"People were painting a portrait of the career that I could have as an indie New York filmmaker. The only thing that stood in my way from staying in New York — because I loved New York and I wanted to stay — was something more that I wanted to do that was inspired by 'Superman.' One day I would love to sing a song to the world, to bring something into the world that is beautiful in that sort of way," she shared.
It looks like Superman has led this director into a great path as Jenkins is breaking stereotypes and critics are already praising her vision. While the reactions have been in her favour, the opening weekend box office collections will determine if fans have taken a shine to the World War I superhero movie.
