A woman armed with a gun was arrested outside the White House just 15 minutes after President Barack Obama had completed his speech on immigration reforms on Thursday night, as per reports
The woman was carrying a 9mm gun in the holster around her waist and was arrested by Secret Service agents.
"USSS says woman was found to be carrying a 9mm handgun in a holster. She is identified as April Lenhart of Michigan, a white female, 23," CBS News White House Correspondent Mark Knoller tweeted.
The incident further raises concerns about security around the White House, as just a day before, a man possessing a rifle and ammunition in his car was arrested in the area.
Last month, the White House was put on a lockdown after a man jumped the fence and attacked security, while in September a man had breached security to reach up to the main door of the President's official residence.
