A 30-year-old woman was allegedly raped at gunpoint by four men in a moving SUV in Noida on Thursday.
The woman, who hails from Ghaziabad, told the police that the men offered her a lift when she was waiting at the Sector-12/22 bus stop on Thursday morning, The New Indian Express reported. she reportedly knew two of the men.
The woman was then forced to drink a laced cold drink and was gang-raped at gunpoint in the moving vehicle. Then, she was reportedly dumped by the men at Noida Extension and is currently being treated at a hospital in Delhi.
The police have said that the accused had filed a case against the woman's husband, who is reportedly in jail.
"We are investigating this from all angles. We have registered an FIR against four people under section 376 G of the Indian Penal Code in Sector-24 police station," Anoop Singh, Deputy Superintendent of police, Greater Noida, told the newspaper.
According to a Times of India report, the men had assured her that they will help free her husband.
