Millions of people in the Northeast of United States of America are bracing for Winter Storm Juno, and a warning has already been sounded at the possibility of blizzard-like condition in at least seven states.
The storm is expected to dump anywhere between two and three feet of snow in affected areas, which is from the New Jersey shore to Downeast Maine, including the cities of New York City, Boston, Providence, Hartford and Portland, reported Weather.com.
Almost 28 million people are in the path of the storm's wrath, and Winter Storm Juno has already affected the travel plans of many. Reports note that more than 7,000 flights have been cancelled and road travel bans have been imposed on 13 counties of New York state.
Meanwhile, social media has attempted to make light of this grim situation with a dash of humour. On social media platforms such as Twitter, Tumblr and Facebook, Winter Storm Juno has been dubbed Snowmageddon and Snowpocalypse, and netizens have already come out with a number of hilarious memes in honour of the blizzard. The storm has already become a trending topic on Twitter, giving rise to hashtags #blizzardof2015, #WinterStormJuno and #Juno.
