Author George RR Martin is likely to surprise his fans with an early release of his next novel, "The Winds of Winter", as he has teased about completing the book on his blog.
The sixth instalment from "A Song of Ice and Fire" series is one of the most-anticipated works from the writer, not only because readers are eager to know the future of their favourite characters, but also because of a life-changing plot twist expected in the novel.
While speculations are increasing on the release of the epic fantasy novel, the 66-year-old and his publishers are tight-lipped about it.
Last year, he assured his fans that he will keep them updated on the progress through his blog. The author even stated that he will not use "any clues to decipher, any codes or hidden meanings" to inform them that he finished it.
But his latest post on Not A Blog sparked speculations that Martin has already finished writing the book and it is out for printing.
While sharing some details about his travelling plans to New York and New Jersey, the author wrote, "While I will be travelling, my army on minions will be here at the old homestead, toiling in the paper mines."
This immediately captured the attention of some of his fans. While one write, "I wonder what this is referring too? hmmmm?", another stated: "That caught my eye too! Maybe we are just desperate? I don't care, I think we are on to something!!"
However, it is not clear whether the author was referring to "The Winds of Winter". So, readers may have to wait for an official release date of the book either from him or from his publishers to know when the novel will be at their nearest bookstore.
