Microsoft's Windows 10 Mobile was more of a disappointment than excitement for Lumia device users as the operating system was not rolled out to eligible handsets despite releasing it in March after a long wait. It has now emerged that the software has been finally seeded to the Lumia 640 and Lumia 735 devices.
Users of Microsoft Lumia 640 have claimed on AT&T forum (via WindowsCentral) that they have received Windows 10 Mobile OTA (over-the-air) update.
Verizon Wireless support page (via WindowsCentral) has also announced that it has started rolling out Windows 10 Mobile update its Lumia 735. The software version number for the device is 02171.00002.15194.03084.
It may be noted that Microsoft handset users can check if the upgrade is available for their device by downloading the Windows 10 Upgrade Advisor app from the Windows Store.
Microsoft had earlier announced the list of smartphones running on Windows Phone 8.1 operating system that are eligible for Windows 10 Mobile update, and they are Lumia 1520, Lumia 930, Lumia 640, Lumia 640XL, Lumia 730, Lumia 735, Lumia 830, Lumia 532, Lumia 535, Lumia 540, Lumia 635 1GB, Lumia 636 1GB, Lumia 638 1GB, Lumia 430, Lumia 435, BLU Win HD w510u, BLU Win HD LTE x150q and MCJ Madosma Q501.
