Microsoft is expected to roll out the Windows 10 Mobile update to some of its devices like the Lumia 640, Lumia 640 XL, Lumia 735 and Lumia 930 soon, as the software's testing has been completed.
Windows 10 Mobile testing for Microsoft Lumia 640, Lumia 640 XL, Lumia 735 and Lumia 930 has been completed and awaiting confirmation for a rollout schedule, according to information on Vodafone Australia.
It is now clear that Vodafone is ready to roll out Windows 10 Mobile update to some Lumia devices and will do so once Microsoft gives the green signal. So, it won't come as a surprise if the software is released to Lumia devices in the next few days.
It was earlier reported that the Lumia 535 and Lumia 640 have received the software, but it appears it is not true, as Microsoft has not confirmed it. According to WMpoweruser, T-Mobile Moderator revealed on the company's discussion forum that "Windows 10 Mobile update start between the 14th and 21st January, and will take the OS up to version 10586.63 (sic)" but there is no report of Lumia devices receiving the software so far.
However, the software update on Lumia devices is imminent. Microsoft has confirmed that the Lumia 430, Lumia 532, Lumia 535, Lumia 540, Lumia 640, Lumia 640 XL, Lumia 735, Lumia 830 and Lumia 930 will initially receive the Windows 10 Mobile update before it is rolled out to Windows 8.0-based phones.
The latest software boasts of several features like full-size background image for Start, quicker actions in Action Center, Interactive Notifications, significantly enhanced speech-to-text capability and a more powerful Photos app.
