Users of Microsoft Lumia devices awaiting Windows 10 Mobile update could be in for a disappointment. A report has suggested that the software update has been delayed by a month, and it may arrive only in February.
Microsoft has reportedly informed its partners via email about the rescheduling of Windows 10 Mobile update and delay in monthly service update for Lumia 950 and 950 XL devices, according to a report by VentureBeat (via GSMArena).
The software giant has not announced Windows 10 Mobile update schedule for its devices but Bouygues Telecom, French mobile phone and internet service provider, hinted at a late release of the software to old Lumia devices. While replying to a query posted by a Twitter user with username Joel Devaux, Bouygues Telecom revealed that the software update will not come until the end of February.
Meanwhile, Vodafone Australia has revealed that Microsoft devices like Lumia 640, Lumia 640 XL, Lumia 35 and Lumia 930 have completed software testing and are awaiting confirmation for roll out.
Microsoft has confirmed that Windows 10 Mobile update will be rolled out to Lumia 430, Lumia 532, Lumia 535, Lumia 540, Lumia 640, Lumia 640 XL, Lumia 735, Lumia 830, Lumia 930 and all Windows 8.0-based phones.
