Director Sanjay Leela Bhansali has been in the news for finally taking up "Bajirao Mastani" after years but it seems the filmmaker might halt his dream project yet again.
Well, we have reasons to assume that Bhansali might rethink his decision to shoot "Bajirao Mastani" next.
Recent reports have claimed the director signed Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh for his ambitious project but the pair is now on the verge of being confirmed for Karan Johar's big-budget film "Shuddhi".
Moreover, "Shuddhi' is expected to start production from this yearend, while "Bajirao Mastani" will start rolling only from March 2015, thus enabling a prior release for Johar's film.
And given the particularity Bhansali employs with respect to his projects, the director could be displeased with the overuse of "Ram-leela" pair Singh and Padukone, before "Bajirao Mastani" release.
It should be noted that years ago, the director had considered Kareena Kapoor and Salman Khan for the same project, after the possibility of casting Aishwarya Rai with Khan became impossible. But the filmmaker eventually stalled the project, when Kapoor featured alongside Khan beforehand in the box office dud "Kyon Ki" (2005).
And according to reports, Bhansali is already miffed with reports of the "Shuddhi" team using his "Ram-leela" pair.
Meanwhile, Priyanka Chopra is also being considered for "Bajirao Mastani" for the role of Kashibai - protagonist Bajirao's first wife. The actress, however, is yet to confirm or deny her association with the project.
