Samsung hasn't announced the Android 7.0 Nougat update schedule for its eligible devices but it is working on the public launch of the firmware. It has released the new OS beta programme to the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge, giving a hint that it could be seeded soon. However, it has now appeared that the devices will get Android 7.1.1 Nougat version and not Android 7.0 Nougat.
The South Korean electronics company confirmed in a response to a query on XDA Developers forum that its handsets will receive the Android 7.1.1 Nougat directly and not the Android 7.0 version that has been rolled out to several handsets, including Google's Nexus line.

Samsung has earlier revealed in a blog post that it would end Android 7.0 Nougat beta test by mid-December, sparking speculations that its official roll-out could arrive before the end of this year.
Android Nougat update is expected to be available to Samsung devices like the Galaxy Note 7, Galaxy Note 5, Galaxy S6, S6 Edge, S6 edge+, S6 Active, S6 Ironman edition, Galaxy S7, Galaxy S7 Edge, Galaxy S7 Active, S7 Batman edition, and S7 Olympic edition. It is also reported that popular devices from A-series, namely the Galaxy A3 (2016), Galaxy A5 (2016), Galaxy A7 (2016), Galaxy A8 (2016), Galaxy A9 (2016) and Galaxy A9 Pro (2016), will get the firmware but the development is not confirmed yet.
